We have just cleared all of our present machine stocks. We have been very lucky to clear our sales of the limited stock we had at those excellent prices. Thank you very much to all of those customers who were kind enough to give us their business.

W455H, W555H, W75, W160 ETC Drain valve sticks in the closed position.

This is a very common fault on these drain valves and it is very often the case that a new drain valve is fitted. However there is a cheaper option if you are happy to do a small amount of work to renovate the drain valve. Most of the time the cause of the drain valve sticking is the small motor and gearbox jamming up or simply the torsion spring has broken. The part numbers below are the main parts required to renovate your drain valve and they come to about half the cost of a full drain valve. Why not try this out and same some money.

W455H & W555H Door leaking even after new door seal fitted.

If you have either of these washing machines and you come across a fault of the door leaking, and even though you have fitted a new door seal not long ago you don’t seem to be able to stop the leak. We have found on several machines that the door hinges are worn and loose. This it would appear is the problem of the door constantly leaking, as it allows the door to fit more loosely which means the door seal has less pressure on the front drum edge. The way to check for this is to open the door to a 30 to 45 degree angle from the front of the machine and lift the door up and down gently. There shouldn’t be any movement on the hinges at all. If there is, then the hinges are worn. Unfortunately Electrolux don’t do the hinge as a spare part. So the only remedy is to replace the door complete. Part number 472990496. Although this seems expensive, please remember the door is complete with new door catch, door glass, door seal, hinges, door handle etc. Compared to replacing the machine to repair the leak it is fairly cost effective. Washing Machine Monitoring tip.

Due to the 3000 series up wards machines having a program time check facility it is easy to monitor you washing machine for any increase in program time. The obvious reason for monitoring this, is to keep your laundry running at its most efficient in terms of productivity. If a machine is suddenly taking 20 minutes longer on each program, then over 6 washes you have lost 2 hours of possible productivity in wash time. An average 40 degree cycle may only take 45 minutes, depending on the size of the washer. Therefore due to that program slowing down you have lost nearly 3 more washes on that machine in your wash day. So it’s always a good idea to monitor the times and keep a record of these times so you can see if a machine is starting to take longer than normal.

Please note that some minor time variations are normal, this can be for numerous reasons, temperature of incoming water supply, pressure of incoming water supply and so on. Any time difference of more than 6 minutes should be investigated to establish whether there is a fault or not. One of the most common causes of a machine taking to long is failure of one or more of the elements. Get the elements checked and replace where necessary.

It is unfortunate that Electrolux Professional have put a price increase on all of there spare parts as of the 1st of January 2017. It is approximately 6% across the board. The good news for our customers is that we have still managed to keep our prices below the manufactures list price, and we hope to continue to keep our spare parts discounted for as long as it is possible.Please check out our prices in the spare parts shop. T2130, T4130, T5130 Dryers with drum support rollers worn.

Here is a tip on diagnosis and repair for the prevention of the drum failure. We have been coming across a large amount of drum failures on the above models. The drum splits at the front where the support rollers run on the front drum lip. It has come to our attention, that if the cause is spotted early enough it can be prevented.

If you notice that the front drum seal has been pulled out and ends up in a load of drying, don’t ignore this! This is the first sign that you have probably got a worn out drum support roller and the drum has dropped slightly causing more pressure on the drum glides and the front drum seal. If you put your hand inside at the bottom of the drum, and feel between the bottom of the white plastic flange and the drum lip you will notice an uneven gap, most likely on the left hand side. This is a sign that a drum support roller has failed. At this point if the drum rollers, glides and seal are replaced, you will more than likely stop the failure of the inner drum and therefore extend the life of your dryer.

Drum seal one required, part number 128000060.

Drum glides two required, part number 125869201.

These are not to difficult to fit, although the drum must be removed from the back of the machine to allow access to these parts. All of these parts are available in the spare parts shop on this website.
